Get in the pink for coastal walk

ISLANDERS are being encouraged to back a good cause by buying one of 500 bright pink charity t-shirts in support of the Pink Ladies’ Sunset Coastal Walk.

Fletcher Sports is selling the Ronhill dryfit shirts for £9.99, with all profits going to the charity.

The tops are in the Town and Bridge stores and were designed by AWS Design, Sign Group and Arthur Pugh.

Assistant manager Ben Ferbrache said it wanted to encourage everyone, not just those who were taking part in the walk, to buy one for the charity.

It is selling the Sunset Walk shirts for the second year.

‘Last year was so successful and it is such a good charity to get involved with,’ he said. ‘We try to give back to the community and give back to Guernsey itself.’

The shirts have a large design on the front and on the back, it features a list of stops during the Sunset Walk, in the style of ‘band tour dates’ on t-shirts.

‘We sold 50 in the first day,’ he said.

The Sunset Coastal Walk takes place on 20 June.
