March or munch for charity

Tomorrows Pink Ladieds Sunset Coastal Walk gives women a chance to stride out in aid of the breast cancer support group, as well as Les Bourgs Hospice. And it's not too late to take part - either register today using the links below or just turn up at the start line on the day. But even if your legs are not up to a sunset stroll, you can help people with cancer - all you have to do is eat. If that sounds more up your street, read on.

Strawberry Tea is Breast Cancer Care's summer community fundraising campaign and invites people to organise events with a strawberry twist, such as afternoon tea parties, picnics and cake sales.

It's a chance for a few friends or colleagues to get together over a cup of tea and a slice of cake and have a good time, while raising money for the charity.

The idea is that guests are charged an entry fee, or asked to make donations.  Other means of fundraising could include a raffle.

Strawberry Tea has been running since 1998 and last year more than 1,750 events took place during June, raising a staggering £409,000.  Due to its success, this year's campaign has been extended to the whole of the summer, so there will be more opportunities to get involved.,
